Hints:
- Both Meatless Burger and Kofta mixes can be used for this recipe, though our favourite are the bases made with the Meatless Burger mix.
- Be sure to sure to use tomato paste and not tomato puree. Puree will soak into the base and make it to soft.
- Leave the pizza to stand for a couple of minutes to give the base time to stiffen up so that slices can be picked up and served/eaten.
- The mixture can be once mixed without leaving to stand. While this makes spreading easier the resultant based tends to be softer and crumbly when eaten by hand.
- The mixture can be spread into any shape you like, circular being traditional, but push the mixture in at the sides to provide a nice clean edge.
- Bases can be stored in the fridge for a couple of days, ideal for batch cooking or advance meal preparation when you want to get ahead.
